The company has been working for over a decade and was founded in 2011.

Synergy Fire Engineering was formed to fill the UK’s need for high quality fire risk consultancy and to address what, at the time, was the biased and non-customer-focused nature of fire risk assessments. The company has since gone from strength to strength, with an expanding team of assessors and a dedicated office team working to service the needs of a growing national client base.

Matt Spivey

Consultant Fire Engineer & Trainer

Matthew is the Vice Chairman of the IFSM (Institute of Fire Safety Managers) and the Chairman of the IFSM Technical Sub-Committee. He holds a BEng (hons) in Fire Engineering and is a Tier 3 GIFireE.

He has more than 25 years’ experience in the fire and security industry, including experience working abroad training the Sudan Fire Service. Matthew’s career began in the domestic burglar alarms and electrical lighting field before working up to director level roles in a number of fire safety companies.

Along with Matthew, the Assessor team are highly qualified and experienced in all aspects of fire risk consultancy. Friendly and professional, all assessors are IFSM members and all are on the IFSM competency register TFRAR. They will offer informative and practical advice to keep your facility safe and compliant.

In addition to the assessor team, our Administration & Logistics team are on hand to advise. They will manage your appointment and advise on the best survey to suit your needs.

Synergy are passionate about helping customers understand often complex Government legislation to achieve a simple and cost-effective solution to their legal obligations in fire safety.

The team can help coordinate requirements for new buildings, working alongside existing development teams, dealing with the public and private sector, and with teams of all sizes.
